In 1999, at the age of 22, I had had a single digital art course that taught 3 programs Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark.
Greatly inspired by a classmates animation final project (Mike Overbeck, “Tongues and Taxi’s” 1999) I spent the summer training myself to really get to know Photoshop by story boarding an original animation that I wrote and drew but never animated.
However the storyboard itself is a really fun and imaginative 38 page comic sequence of some very odd characters acting out a very strange comedy of sorts. I still look back on this with fondness knowing that this is me teaching myself Photoshop one summer, drawn by hand with a mouse, colored with the paint bucket… and looking back, doing some very bizarre character design while I was at it.
There are ghosts, and spiders, and strange two legged flying weebles, and the grand finale ends with a dramatic chorus of bunnies singing the grand theme song to RunnAnnChew called “RunnAnnChew”!
So, with no further ado…. RunnAnnChew
all the bunnies sang
that is what we like to do”
Big song and dance finale… in the animation
