Kangaroo

In high School I started learning pen and ink and was practicing stippling with this reproduction of some clipping around the art room of a man boxing a kangaroo.

My grandmother was a member of the local Woman’s Club, and they were having a regional art show. I entered the piece of the Kangaroo and to my surprise, I won second place. I made the newspaper for the first time for art at age 15.
